1

O Indra, for the power that vanquishes Vṛtra and wins in battle, We call you here to us.

2

O Indra, Lord of a Hundred Powers, may those who praise you here, Guide your spirit and your sight.

3

O Indra, Lord of a Hundred Powers, with all our songs we invoke Your names for victory over enemies.

4

We strive for glory through the immense powers of the one Whom many praise: Indra, who sustains humanity.

5

For Vṛtra's slaughter, I address Indra whom many invoke, To win us spoils in the battles.

6

Be victorious in battles, we seek you, Lord of a Hundred Powers, Indra, that Vṛtra may be slain.

7

In glorious contests among the forces, in victories where the fight is won, Indra, be the victor over foes.

8

Drink the Soma for our aid, bright and watchful, exceedingly strong, O Indra, Lord of a Hundred Powers.

9

O Śatakratu, the powers you've shown among the Five Races, These, Indra, I claim as yours.

10

Indra, you have gained great glory. Win splendid fame that none can mar, We make your might eternal.

11

Come to us, whether near at hand or far away, O Śakra, Indra, wherever your home may be, come to us there, Thunder-armed.
