1

ENKINDLED, Pavamana, Lord, sends forth his light everywhere In a friendly way, the bellowing Bull.

2

He, Pavamana, Self-produced, strides forward sharpening his horns: He shines through the sky.

3

Bright as wealth, adorable, with brilliance Pavamana shines, Mighty with the streams of meath.

4

The tawny Pavamana, who long ago spread grass with might, Is worshiped, God among the Gods.

5

The golden, the Celestial Doors are raised high by their frames, By Pavamana glorified.

6

With passion Pavamana yearns for the great lofty pair, well-formed Like beautiful maidens, Night and Dawn.

7

Both Gods who watch over men I call, Celestial Herald: Indra’s Self Is Pavamana, indeed, the Bull.

8

This, Pavamana’s sacrifice, will the three beauteous Goddesses, Sarasvati and Bharati and Iḷā, Mighty One, attend.

9

I summon Tvaṣṭar hither, our protector, champion, firstborn, Indu is Indra, tawny Steer; Pavamana is Prajāpati.

10

O Pavamana, with the meath in streams anoint Vanaspati, The ever-green, golden-hooded, refulgent, with a thousand branches.

11

Come to the consecrating rite of Pavamana, all ye Gods— Vāyu, Sūrya, Bṛhaspati, Indra, and Agni, in harmony.
