1

Kings, Indra, and Varuṇa, I call you to this sacrifice with offerings and respect. Hold the ladle in both hands, dripping fat, and it will naturally go to you, whose forms are diverse.

2

Dyaus quickens and strengthens your high rule, binding with bonds that aren't made of ropes or cords. Let Varuṇa's displeasure stay far from us, and Indra grant us ample space to live in.

3

Make our sacrifice fair among the gatherings; make our prayers accepted by our princes. May good fortune come to us as a gift; further us with your delightful support.

4

O Indra and Varuṇa, grant us wealth in abundance—treasure, food, and all blessings; For the Ādityas, dispellers of lies, bestow wealth in great abundance.

5

May this song of mine reach Varuṇa and Indra, and, with strong urging, bring me sons and offspring. To the Gods' feast may we go with riches. Preserve us always, ye Gods, with blessings.
