Bearing the eye of the gods, auspicious Lady, leading her white and fair steed to behold, Distinguished by her bright Dawn appears, comes forth to all the world with wondrous treasures.

4

Draw near with wealth and drive away our foe: prepare for us a wide pasture free from danger. Drive away those who hate us, bring us riches: pour bounty, opulent Lady, on the singer.

Send your most excellent beams to shine and light us, giving us longer days, O Dawn, O Goddess, Grant us food, you who have all precious things, and rich bounty in chariots, cows, and horses.

O Uṣas, noble-born, daughter of Heaven, whom the Vasisthas with their hymns make powerful, Bestow on us vast and glorious riches. Preserve us always, gods, with blessings.
