At dawn, we invoke Agni, Indra, Bhaga, Pūṣan, and Brahmaṇaspati; also Varuṇa, Mitra, and the Aśvins. We invoke Soma at dawn, and Rudra at dawn too.
We invoke Bhaga, the Dawn’s son, the powerful one who conquers early, the great supporter: He who helps the poor, even the mighty, and the king himself says, "Give me Bhaga."
Bhaga, our guide, the giver of faithful gifts, make this song pleasing, grant us wealth, O Bhaga. Grant us herds of cattle and horses, Bhaga, that we be rich in men and heroes.
May we have happiness now, and when the day comes, and at midday too; And may we, O Bounteous One, be happy with the Deities’ love at sundown.
May Bhaga indeed be a giver of bliss, and through him, may the Gods bring us happiness. So be it, O Bhaga, let all invoke you: be our champion, O Bhaga.
Let all Dawns incline to our worship, and come to the pure place like Dadhikrāvan. May they bring us, Bhaga who finds treasure, as strong horses draw a chariot.
May blessed mornings dawn upon us forever, with herds of cattle, horses, and heroes, Overflowing with all abundance, pouring fatness. Preserve us always, O Gods, with blessings.
