SERVED with offerings, first-born, mountain-born, Aṅgiras' son, Bṛhaspati, the Holy, With twice-strong path, dwelling in light, our Father, roars loudly, like a bull, to Earth and Heaven.

Bṛhaspati, who created for this people a wide space and border when the gods were invoked, Slashing through his enemies, he brings down their fortresses, subdues his foes, and overcomes those who hate him.

Bṛhaspati wins rich treasures in battle, wins this God great herds of cattle. Striving to win water and light, irresistible, Bṛhaspati strikes down the foe with lightning.
