1

Great is your might, Indra and Soma: you were the first to achieve great deeds. You found the Sun and the light of heaven: you killed all darkness and the blasphemy of the gods.

2

You, Indra-Soma, gave light to Dawn and led the Sun high with all its brilliance. You upheld the sky with a supporting pillar and spread the Earth, the Mother apart.

3

You slew the flood-blocking serpent Vṛtra, Indra and Soma: Heaven approved your feat. You urged the river currents to flow swiftly and filled many seas with water.

4

You set the rich milk in the unripe udders of the cows, Indra, and Soma. You held fast the unobstructed white within these many-colored living beings.

5

Truly you bestow, Indra and Soma, wealth, famous, victorious, passing to our children. You endowed men, Mighty Beings, with manly strength that conquers in battle.
