For Savitar’s supreme glory, most splendid and beloved by all,
No one lessens in any way.
Savitar, who is Bhaga, will send wealth to those who worship him.
Grant us this wonderful share.
Send us today, God Savitar, prosperity and offspring.
Drive away the evil dreams.
Savitar, the God, send far away all sorrows and misfortunes,
And give us only what is good.
Sinless before Aditi under Savitar’s influence,
May we obtain all lovely things.
With our hymns, today we choose the universal God, Lord of the good,
Savitar whose decrees are true.
He who is ever vigilant and leads the two, Day and Night,
Is Savitar, the wise God.
He who gives glory to all living beings with song,
And brings them forth, is Savitar.
