1

Following Indra’s wish, these Soma juices have flowed, Boosting his mighty power.

2

Placed in the bowl, pure and flowing, to Vāyu and the Aśvins, May they grant us great heroic strength.

3

Soma, as you are purified, stir up Indra’s heart, So that he sits in sacrifice’s place.

4

With your ten swift fingers adorned, seven ministers urge you on: The sages have rejoiced in you.

5

When through the filter you are poured, clothe yourself with a milk robe, To be a joyful draught for the gods.

6

Within the jars, when you are purified, Soma, bright red and golden, You wear a milk robe.

7

Flow onto us and make us rich. Drive all our enemies away. O Indu, flow into your friend. Send down the rain from heaven, a stream of prosperity from earth. Give us, O Soma, victory in war.

9

May we obtain you, Indra’s drink, who see men and find light, Gain you, and offspring and sustenance.
