1

You two are priests of the sacrifice, victors in battle and holy deeds: Indra and Agni, take note of this.

2

You generous drivers of the chariot, you unyielding slayers of Vṛtra: Indra and Agni, take note of this.

3

The people with the pressing stones have pressed this meat that brings joy: Indra, and Agni, take note of this.

4

Accept our sacrifice for good fortune, sharers of praise! the Soma poured: Indra and Agni, Heroes, come.

5

Be pleased with these libations that draw you to our sacred offerings: Indra and Agni, Heroes, come.

6

Accept this hymn of mine whose pattern is the Gāyatrī: Indra and Agni, Heroes, come.

7

Come with the early-flying gods, you who are masters of true wealth: Indra-Agni, to the Soma-drink.

8

Hear the call of Atris, hear Śyāvāśva as he pours the juice: Indra-Agni to the Soma-drink.

9

Thus have I called upon you for help, as sages once called on you: Indra-Agni to the Soma drink!

10

Indra and Agni's favor I claim, the associates of Sarasvatī: To whom this song of praise is sung.
