Thirty Devas and three more, who once sat on the sacred grass, From ancient times have found their place.

Varuṇa, Mitra, Aryaman, Agni with his wife, bestowing blessings, To whom we pray: "May you grant us what we seek."

These Devas guard us in the west, in the north, and in the south, And in the east, with all the people.

As the Devas wish, so shall it be. No one diminishes their might, Not a demon, nor a mortal.

The Seven carry seven spears; seven are their radiant qualities, And seven are the glories they assume.
