Awaken us today to high and joyful fortune; to great happiness, O Dawn, grant it to us. Grant us manifold and splendid riches, renowned among mortals, the goddess who befriended men!
See, the everlasting splendor of Morning, bright with its varied colors, has approached us. Filling the realm of mid-air, they perform the rites of holy worship, mounting up.
She drives her chariot far away and swiftly visits the lands where the Five Tribes dwell, Seeing the deeds and ways of mortals, the world's Imperial Lady, daughter of Heaven.
She who is rich in spoils, the Spouse of Sūrya, opulent and wonderful, rules all wealth and treasures. Consumer of our youth, the seers praise her: lauded by priests, Dawn shines brightly.
The varied-colored steeds are apparent, the red steeds bearing resplendent Morning. On her all-lovely chariot she comes, the Fair One, and brings rich treasure for her faithful servant.
True with the True and Mighty with the Mighty, with Gods a Goddess, Holy with the Holy, She broke down strong barriers and gave the cattle: the kine mooed as they greeted Morning.
O Dawn, now give us wealth in kine and heroes, and horses, filled with manifold enjoyment. Protect our sacred grass from man’s reproaches. Preserve us evermore, ye Gods, with blessings.
