He slays the foe and wins the spoils, Indra and Agni, mighty heroes, Who rule over abundant riches, victorious, displaying their power in conquest.
Now fight, O Indra and Agni, for cows and waters, sunlight, stolen mornings. Borne by your teams, you make your kine yours, Agni; you, Indra, light, dawns, regions, wondrous waters.
With Vṛtra-slaying might, Indra and Agni, come, drawn by homage, O Vṛtra-slayers. Indra and Agni, show yourselves among us with your supreme and unrestricted bounty.
I call the two whose deeds of old have all been famed in ancient days, O Indra-Agni, do not harm us.
