1

Heavenly Dawn, wake us to abundant prosperity today Even as you woke us with Satyasravas, Vayya’s son, noble-born! Delightful with your horses!

2

You, daughter of the heavens, you shone upon Sunitha, Sucadratha’s son, So may you shine upon one even mightier, upon Satyasravas, Vayya’s son, noble-born! Delightful with your horses!

3

With treasures, bring this day to us, you daughter of the sky, As you, oh mightier still, shone for Satyatravas, Vayya’s son, noble-born! Delightful with your horses!

4

Around you, priests praise you, Bright One, with their hymns, And men offer gifts, O bountiful dame, rich with wealth and offerings, noble-born! Delightful with your horses!

5

Whatever these bands do for you to please you or to gain wealth, They surround us and give rich gifts that never leave, noble-born! Delightful with your horses!

6

Give fame to these wealthy patrons, O affluent Dawn, with heroic sons, To these our princes who bring rich gifts that never leave, noble-born! Delightful with your horses!

7

Bestow lofty and resplendent fame, O munificent Dawn, to these Our wealthy patrons who bestow rich gifts on us of horses and cattle, noble-born! Delightful with your horses!

8

Bring subsistence in our herds of cows, together with the sunbeams, With the shine of pure radiant flames, noble-born! Delightful with your horses!

9

Shine, O daughter of the sky, do not delay in performing your task, Let not the Sun consume you like a robber, noble-born! Delightful with your horses!

10

So much, and more exceedingly, O Dawn, it suits you to bestow, You Radiant One who ceaselessly shine for those who sing your praise, noble-born! Delightful with your horses!
