Sing boldly, Śyāvāśva, with the Maruts who sing in harmony, Who, holy, as they always do, bring joy in unblemished glory.
For in their boldness they are allies of solid, steadfast strength. They, in their bold course, protect all men of their own accord.
Like swift steers in motion, they advance and overtake the night; And so we celebrate the Maruts' power both in heaven and on earth.
With boldness, let us offer praise and sacrifice to your Maruts: All through the ages, they guard mortals from harm.
Praised be the givers of good gifts, heroes with full strength, To Maruts, Holy Ones of heaven, I will extol the sacrifice.

Hymn-singing, seeking water, they dance around the spring, What are they to me? Not thieves, but helpers, splendid to see.
Sublime, with lightnings for their spears, sages and orderers they are. Rishi, adore this Marut host, and make them happy with your song.
Rishi, invite the Marut band with offerings, as a maid her friend. From heaven, too, Bold Ones, in your might, haste hither glorified with songs.

Princes, when I asked their
