Indra Śatakratu, spread wide the riches of thy generous grace: As Lord of fair dominion, Friend of all men, grant us great wealth.

The food, Mighty Indra, that you possess, renowned far and wide, Is spoken of as most widely famed, unbeatable, O Golden-handed!

You who scatter the stone, the powers that willingly obey your command— Deities, both you and they, you rule, to protect them, earth and sky.

From whatever power of yours, O Vṛtra-slayer, it may be, Bring to us heroic strength: you have a man’s regard for us.

Under your protection, with these aids of yours, O Lord of Hundred Powers, Indra, may we be well protected, Hero, may we be well protected.
