May a mortal invoke the Strong one, with sacred rites, to help, And call upon Agni to protect when the sacrifice is ready.

By your side you appear mightier still, in your native glory, Holding apart that fiery sky, beyond the thoughts of man.

Indeed, it is under the light of him whose powerful song has bound him to act, Whose beams of brilliance shine so high, as if they sprang from heavenly seed.

Wealth fills the Wonder-worker’s chariot through his, the very wise One’s might. Then, may he be invoked among all peoples, Agni, is glorified.

Now, too, the princes will gain excellent wealth by our words. Protect us for our good; lend your aid, O Son of Strength. Be near in battle to prosper us.
