1

Up there shines that light: your chariot is yoked that travels around the top of this sky. Inside this car are kept three kinds of food, and a skin filled with meath is rustling as the fourth.

2

Bring forth your rich foods full of pleasant meath, and cars and horses at the rising of the sun, Stripping away the covering from the surrounding darkness, and spreading through the air bright radiance like the Sun.

3

Drink the meath with lips accustomed to the draught; harness for the meath's sake the car you love. Refresh the path you travel, refresh the paths with meath: here, O Aśvins, bring the skin that holds the meath.

4

The swans you have are friendly, rich in meath, gold-winged, strong to draw, awake at early dawn, Swimming the river, exultant, eager for the draught that cheers: you come like flies to our meath libations.

5

Knowing well solemn rites and rich in meath, the fires sing to the morning Aśvins at the break of day, When with pure hands the prudent and energetic priest presses out the Soma rich in meath.

6

The rays advancing near, chasing daylight with the day, spread through the firmament bright radiance like the Sun; And the Sun harnessing his horses goes forth: you through your divine nature make known his paths.

7

With reverent thought I have declared, O Aśvins, your chariot with good steeds, which last forever, With which you swiftly travel through the regions to the worshipper who offers sacrifice.
