Now praise, as one striving for strength, the harnessing of Agni’s chariot,
The generous, the most splendid One;
Who guides the worshipper straight and leads them unscathed by age,
When worshipped, looks fair to see;
Who, for his glory, is extolled at dawn and dusk in every home,
Whose statute stands inviolate;
Who shines radiant like the Sun, with brilliance and a fiery glow,
Decked with an imperishable sheen.
Attri and Agni, let our songs strengthen him according to his might:
All glories he has made his own.
May we, with Agni’s aid and Indra’s, and Soma’s, and all the Gods,
Uninjured dwell together, and vanquish those who fight with us.
