1

The one who served as Hotar-priest, the seer, our father, offering up everything that exists— He, seeking through his desire a great treasure, came among people on Earth as the archetype.

2

What place did he take his stance on? What supported him there? How was it? From whence Visvakarman, seeing all, created the Earth by immense power, revealing the Heavens.

3

He who has eyes all around him, a mouth all around, arms and feet all around, He, the Single God, creating Earth and Heavens, unites them with his arms as wings.

4

What tree, what wood was formed there, from which they shaped the Earth and Heavens? You wise ones, inquire within your spirit where he stood when he established all things.

5

The nine highest, lowest, sacrificial natures, and these your central ones, O Visvakarman, Teach your friends at sacrifice, O Blessed One, and come yourself, exalted, to our worship.

6

Come yourself, exalted with offerings, O Visvakarman, Earth and Heavens to worship. Let other men live here in folly, let us have a rich and generous patron.

7

Let us invoke today, to aid our work, the Lord of Speech, swift-of-thought Visvakarman. May he hear kindly all our invocations, who gives all happiness for aid, whose deeds are right.
