1

We grasp your right hand, O Indra, seeking treasure, Treasure-Lord of treasures! Since we know you, Hero, Lord of cattle: grant us mighty and splendid riches.

2

Wealth, fully armed, good guard and kind protector, born from four seas, the support and foundation of treasures, Riches overflowing, worthy of praise and glory: grant us mighty and splendid riches.

3

Wealth, with good Brahmins, Indra! Accompanied by gods, high, wide, and deep, founded on broad foundations, Strong, with famous Rishis, conquering our foes: grant us mighty and splendid riches.

4

Victorious, gaining strength, with heroic sages, firmly established in power, most useful, wealth-attracting, True, Indra! Overthrowing fortresses and slaying Dasyus: grant us mighty and splendid riches.

5

Wealthy in heroes and in chariots and horses, strength hundredfold and thousandfold, O Indra, With valiant sages, happy troops, light-bearing: grant us mighty and splendid riches.

6

To Saptagavya the sage, the pious-minded, to him, Brihaspathi, the song approaches, Anśiras' son who must be honored with respect: grant us mighty and splendid riches.

7

Our praises, like messengers, seeking kindness, go to Indra with their strong plea, Moving his heart and spoken by my spirit: grant us mighty and splendid riches.

8

Grant us the boon I seek, O Indra, a spacious home unmatched among peoples. May Heaven and Earth approve this: grant us mighty and splendid riches.
