This very powerful one, whom the gods command, the conqueror of chariots, ever victorious, Swift and swift-footed, with unharmed feet, even Tārkṣya for our benefit, we call him here.

As if we offer our gifts to Indra, may we ascend him as a ship for safety. Like the two vast worlds, wide and deep, may we be safe both when he arrives and departs.

He who has spread his might across the Five Lands, like Sūrya with his radiance, and the waters— His strength wins hundreds, none can turn it back, as a young maiden stands firm against her lover.
