This pleasing drink, O Indra, we offer you; you are the ruler of cups and nectar. Bestow upon us wealth with many brave sons; you, glowing with passion, won heavenly light.

Let us invoke Śakra with this libation, the one who wins with light and delights in potent nectar. Watch over our sacrifice, come to us then; we pray to Maghavan, the conqueror of armies.

By the decree of royal Soma and Varuṇa, under Bṛhaspati and Anumati’s protection, Today under your authority, O Maghavan, Creator, Arranger, I have enjoyed the jars.

I too, urged on, had my share, in the bowl, and as the first prince, I composed this hymn of praise, When I reached the flowing nectar, O Vīsavāmītra, Jamadagni, to your home.
