1

FOR life I offer you this sacrifice from the end of days and from Death; Or, if that greedy demon has taken hold of him, free him from it, O Indra, and Agni.

2

May his days be over, may he now be gone, may he be close to death already, Back from Destruction’s embrace I bring him, save him so he lives a hundred autumns.

3

With a hundred-eyed offering, a hundred-year-old one, giving a hundred lives, I restore him, That Indra may lead him safely for a hundred years to the far side of all misfortune.

4

Live, growing stronger, a hundred autumns, live through a hundred springs, a hundred winters. By a hundred-lived offering Indra, Agni, Brihaspathi, Savitar, I give him a hundred!

5

Thus have I found and saved you, you have returned with renewed youth. Entire in your body! I have found your sight and all your life for you.
