This immortal Indu, like a horse, strong and full of vigor, Belongs to you, the Orderer.
Here, by us, for the worshipper, is the wise bolt that works with skill. It brings the bubbling Soma as a skilled man brings the potent drink.
Impetuous Ahīśuva, a bull among bulls, looked down upon the restless hawk.
That the strong-winged bird brought, Child of the falcon, from afar, What moves on a hundred wheels along the female dragon’s path.
Which, fair and unharmed, the falcon brought to you in its foot, the red-hued dwelling of the juice; Through this came vital power that extends our days, and kinship through its help was awakened.
So Indra is by Indu’s power; even among gods it will repel great treachery. Wisdom, Most Wise One, brings strength that extends life. May wisdom bring the Soma to us.
