May Dyaus, the Lord of praised wealth, and Earth stand by the one who performs the sacrifice, And may the Aśvins, both the Devas, bless the worshipper with joy.
As such we honor you, Mitra and Varuṇa, with eager zeal, most blessed, you who sustain the people. So may we, through your friendship for the worshipper, subdue the demons.
And when we seek to win your love and friendship, we who possess precious wealth, Or when the worshipper increases his riches, may not his treasures be locked away.
Or Asura, too, was born from Heaven. You, Varuṇa, are the King of all men. The charioteer was well content, forbearing to anger Death with such a great sin. This sin was committed by Sakaputa here. Heroes who fled to their dear friend he slew, When the Steed brings down your grace and favor in dear and worshipful forms.
