1

Winner of thousands, kindled, you shine as a God among the gods today. Bear out the offerings, envoy, Sage.

2

Child of yourself, the sacrifice is for the righteous blended with mead, Presenting a multitude of dishes.

3

Invoke and worthy of our praise bring the gods whose due is sacrifice: You, Agni, give countless gifts.

4

They scattered a thousand Heroes eastward with might, Whereon, Ādityas, you shine forth.

5

The supreme all-imperial Doors, wide, good, many and manifold, Poured their holy oil streams.

6

With splendid adornment, fair to see, they shine gloriously: Let Night and Morning rest them here.

7

Let these two Sages, first of all, divine heralds and eloquent, Perform for us this sacrifice.

8

You I address, Sarasvatī, and Bhāratī, and Iḷā, all: Urge us on to glorious fame.

9

Tvaṣṭar the Lord has made all forms and all the cattle of the field, Cause them to multiply for us.

10

Send to the gods, Vanaspati, yourself, the sacrificial draught: Let Agni make the offerings sweet.

11

Agni, preeminent among the gods, is honored with the sacred song: He glows at offerings blessed with hail!
