To drink the Soma, Agni, come, to our service and our songs. With all these gods; and worship them.
The Kaṇvas have invoked thee; they, O singer, sing thee songs of praise Agni, come hither with the gods;
Indra, Vāyu, Brihaspathi, Mitra, Agni, Pūṣan, Bhaga, Adityas, and the Maruts, too.
For you these juices are poured forth that cheer and invigorate, The mead resting in the cup.
The sons of Kaṇva seek your aid, having strewn the grass, With offerings and all things prepared.
May swift steeds that bear you, yoked in thought and dripping holy oil, Bring the gods to the Soma draught.
Adored, the lawgivers, unite them, Agni, with your wives: Make them drink mead, O tongue of light.
Let them, O Agni, who deserve worship and praise drink with your tongue The mead in solemn sacrifice.
Away, from the Sun’s realm of light, the wise invoking priest shall bring All gods awoke with the dawn.
With all the gods, with Indra, with Vāyu, and Mitra’s splendor, drink, Agni, the pleasant Soma juice.
Ordained by Manu as our priest, you sit at each rite: Hallow this our sacrifice.
Harness the red mares to your chariot, the bay, O God, the fiery ones: With those bring hitherward the gods.
